Home of the Woofie Cairns
Cairn Terriers are feisty little dogs. They do good in country settings and in apartments alike. We often refer to our Cairns as "Big dogs trapped in a little dogs body." Cairns have wonderful temperaments, they are great protectors of the house, easy to train and excellent with kids. All these factors are probably why AKC rated these little Totos as the #1 kids small dog.

Scahaningi's Cairn Terrier It's wild, it's woolly, it's full of java scripts and really good pictures, and it's in German! A Nugget's Golden Site Comparison: the Mac Computer vs. the Cairn Terrier
The opening paragraph of some really funny stuff: "Many people have asked me about the Cairn Terrier [dog]. How about memory, they want to know. Is it I.B.M. - compatible? Why didn't I get the I.B.M. itself, or a Kaypro, Compaq, or Macintosh? I think the best way to answer these questions is to look at the Macintosh and the Cairn head on. I almost did buy the Macintosh. It has terrific graphics, good word-processing capabilities, and the mouse. But in the end I decided on the Cairn, and I think I made the right decision."

Robinsend
Thanks for dropping by Robinsend, home of Barley, Haggis, Rosebud, and Biscuit. We haven't bred any cairns -- so far and for the time being we are just raising them. They seem to like it here and we delight in their mischievous presence.

Rufus is a Cairn Terrier who came to live with us in May 1992 (isn't he cute?) . He used to swim and fetch sticks (I have pictures!) His current favorite activity is lying on the kitchen floor or some other cool surface or sniffing around outside. I guess fetching was a puppy thing.

UpdatedJasper's Place-cairn photos and paintings - [This is sad, but there is a message to be learned here.] Jasper is no longer with us. He was killed by a car on September 1, 2000. He pulled a flexi lead out of my hand and ran under the wheels. Beware of a loose grip on your handle, my friends, and never underestimate the determination and chase instincts of a terrier. I have devised a belt loop for the flexi handle so that if I ever drop Annie's leash, she is still tethered to me. You can also look at Cindy's paintings here.
